Plumbago’s lying on the ground, will the stems develop some roots?

My lovely plumbago’s doing very well and has been on the ground for quite some time. My question: will the stems touching the ground develop roots? I’d love to plant more of them!!
It would have been so easy to propagate plumbago if it was possible! No, they won’t grow roots. You can do cuttings or clump division. Check out the article on plumbago on this website. There’s a handful of info, well presented, too.
In gardening, there’s always something you can’t control.  This makes the experience so humbling. 🙂
Hello merrylb, namaste! I have had one time a plumbago vine that fell over and when I tried to put it back I had to tug at it a bit, little roots had formed where it fell over into a patch of soft soil. This was near the water spout so I think it made its own cuttings naturally!
