I still have beans from a harvest 3-4 years ago. Still safe to eat them? How long could we keep beans without any preservatives?

The USDA says beans can be stored minimum a year or two in the shelf because the vitamins they contain slowly diminishes after this period and nothing will be left after 5 years. That’s on the nutritional value, not on the edibility.

The longest time I had stored my beans was 10 years and still cooked them. Not a single health problem! 😀
