I have a tree that is 9 years old. Last year saw one flower. This year there are a decent amount. Yay. But how do I feed it now and how often should it get watered? Waited so long for some fruit from this tree!!!

September 8, 2020 at 11:28 pm ReplyFeeding should be done before flowering or when there are no fruits yet, once a year. Organic Citrus Tone fertilizer seems to be the best choice so far. If you think your tree really needs some food, put some compost on top of existing soil. It would be wise not to move or repot your tree until harvest has been done so as not to disturb the flowering and later fruiting time.
Watering can be based on your own observation. Experts say it should be once a week but sometimes, soil is still moist after this period depending on the humidity level in your house. What’s always recommended is to stick a finger in the soil and water only when it’s dry. In the long run, you’ll be able to identify when to water accordingly.
Good luck and enjoy caring for your pomelo tree!
