Calomondin plants in 3 gallon pot how much water

    When & how much water, for calomondin plant in a 3 gallon pot

    Well a 3 gallon pot is large enough. I think if you spread a quart of water along the surface, if it’s very dry, it’ll all be absorbed without even running out the bottom. With citrus it’s more about watering when the soil is dry. Like in winter you’d water maybe once every two weeks but in summer every two days you need to add water. I just stick a finger to the second knuckle into the soil and pull it out. If it feels dusty dry I water, but if it smears I wait another day or two before trying again. After a while I get the hang of what the plant needs.

    I noticed that terra cotta pots require much more water than plastic ones. Which one do you have?
