I’d like to plant a few spring bulbs but I don’t know if I should do it just before winter. Should I wait? I’m thinking muscari and daffys, nothing extravagant.

They’ve just spent summer packing up all the nutrients they need, and are just about to start refreshing their root system over wet winter months… it’s actually the very best time to plant them. All you have to do is find someone nearby who has had some growing in a planter or garden bed, and ask for a few bulbs, people love to share.
