How strong is a larch tree? Can it tolerate strong winds and resist from breaking? I have one near the house and where we are could get really windy at times. I was wondering if I should have it cut or not.

Larch trees are strong and its wood is really hard. They can grow really big. How near is it exactly from your house? How old is your larch tree? If I were you, I would consult the city’s office responsible for evaluating structural damage to get professional advice.

Hmm. It’s hard to say when you don’t really know how strong winds could get in your area and how big your tree is. Larch trees should not be planted near a house anyway as roots could lead to structural damage. I would say the same thing as PPT… check with a professional who could visit and check the tree in person.
