Mushrooms harvested in forest, how to freeze them

    Hello Mister gardener, we just went to the forest and gathered mushrooms. Could you tell us how to freeze them ? Thanks a lot !

    Ah yes! Autumn is also mushroom time! And, by your question, I believe you got a lot? If that’s the case, lucky you!!

    If you’re freezing them raw, just clean them first and then slice them into 1-inch pieces. Consider putting them in small containers so you’ll only unfreeze what  you need. Refreezing defrost mushrooms is not good.

    I’ve read that frozen mushrooms can even last one year in the freezer! So if you have a lot of stocks, you can savor it all year round.
