To be one with those people caring for our mother Earth 🌎, I gather water from dish washing and shower.. The thing is, this water is now stagnant in a cemented container I constructed myself… Has any of you here heard of plants use to purify this kind of water? I’m afraid to use it for watering the plants given that it’s soapy 🧼December 3, 2019 at 11:16 pm ReplyAlohaPrivate messageGreenhorn
I would consider your cemented container a pond and in this case, water lettuce is a good choice for cleaning impurities. And it has a cute shape, too.
By the way, I admire your initiative in saving used water! I wish you the best of luck! 😉December 9, 2019 at 9:11 pm ReplyEco warriorPrivate messageGreenhorn
Thanks for your response… I’ve checked water lettuce and it seems they only grow in the tropics + invasive. I’m from a colder region though. But yes I agree they are really cute!
