My large potted olive tree has yellow fungus on the branches. How can I treat this? Thanks in advance.

But – there’s a but.. – it does seem to me like you have an awful lot of dead branches there. The fact that lichen is growing there points to bark not rejuvenating. There doesn’t seem to be very many green, live stems in there. 😯 😯
Maybe a first round you could do is to prune off all the dead wood. If you’re not sure if a twig or branch is dead, scratch it a bit with a knife: if there’s a slick, green layer underneath then it’s still alive.
Where are you from, is it end of summer in your place?

The question here is why did the branches die resulting to being a perfect habitat for lichen. I suspect you had very hot summer the past years? Lack of water causes branches to die off.
