white spider in clementine soil

    hi I have just noticed a minute white insect at the bottom of the outer pot of my clementine,also lots of really tiny rice shapes of soil,what can this be?thankyou

    Hi Michelle seems not many people have a clue what it might be. There’s lots of types of bugs that have small tiny eggs like grains of rice, maybe you can try to take a picture and post it here ? I know it isn’t easy if it’s very small, but it can help. Usually when it’s under pots it’s ants. Small white insects might be midges, mites or thrips, they spend part of their life underground in the pupa stage I learned here:
