Have only noticed it this year. It’s been very hot and it rarely rains this time. I’d like to think there’s a connection to the yellowing leaves. Anybody growing dragon fruits out there? I’d appreciate your inputs. Ty. B

Hi budd30! I’m not growing dragon fruits but got interested in your question. I did a bit of research and came across this site: https://zenyrgarden.com/why-are-my-dragon-fruit-plants-turning-yellow/

It seems your dragon fruits are getting sunburn if you’re in a zone with temperature that gets higher than 38°C. The site offers some solutions like putting some kind of protection. I really think you’ll find good ideas there for the recovery of your plants.

Thanks for the site. It was an interesting read. I have a few hundred plants growing so it’s kind of hard to protect them by covering in terms of labor and cost. But i agree, other ideas are really useful. Ty B

I honestly believe it could be a little bit dangerous for your plant if the weather remains extremely sunny with no regular rain.

Hi plantito_sotto. I’ve been told the same. Thank God, it rained twice since I posted my question. As what other dragon growers have told me, I also need to give them some fertilizer which I already did. Now I’m just hoping it rains even once every 2 weeks until the peak hot season is over.
