Sambucus

    I planted a Sambucus  Nigra Golen Tower in the spring and it flourished…..now it is shedding its leaves is this normal?

    Well, it’s a deciduous tree, which means it’s normal for it to lose its leaves in fall or winter. Are you in the Northern hemisphere? They fall to the ground, but the tree prepares new buds that will sprout back in Spring. It must be a beautiful tree when leaves come out, did you find it easy to care for?

    Hello Thank you so much your reply. We live in the UK East Anglia.  The tree has been so easy to care for. it is in fact more of a shrub than a tree but I am sure the same applies

    That’s good. Yes it’s the kind of tree that’s too small to really be a tree but too big to still qualify as a shrub.
